When you try to share your location in a WhatsApp chat-by tapping onto the Attach icon on an Android device or if Plus icon on the iPhone- You will be given an option to select the duration of the time for which the sharing option will become active. You can only pick from one of the already given options that are available- 15 minutes, 1 hour, and 8 hours – and, optionally, add a comment. Users are given an option to share any one-time, static location if they would like to.
There is an option to share and stop the live location sharing data manually as well within a chat at any given time. A new option which will appear in your Account Privacy settings that will allow you the control over an overview of all WhatsApp chats that you possibly would be sharing your live location during all time.
