So finally, the news is out about the next iPhone and the wait is over. Apple on Thursday reached out to the media to extend the invites to join them for the next big event happening on 12th September at the Steve Jobs Theatre at the new campus which is in Cupertino. Apple is expected widely to unveil the iPhone 8, among other products, at the much-anticipated event, which is happening after 10 years of the original first iPhone launch.
As the event approached, the Cupertino- headquartered company is expected to announced not one but three of the iPhone models, including the premium upgraded iPhone 8. There will be a new variant of the Apple TV as well, device, bringing support for 4K and HDR technologies.
The new iPhone, apparently iPhone 8 is expected to not have a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and in place of that, it might support 3D sensors to enable facial recognition feature. Apple made the touch id technology popular initially. And now, they are planning to give away with that.
As per the previous reports floating in the market, there will be smaller bezels which will allow the company to fit bigger displays like (iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus) As we discuss the display aspect of the phone, there will be at least one models which will have OLED display.
Not much can be said about the phone prices in India. But for sure, the next iPhone will be expensive than the iPhone 7, the basic model for which the price is Rs. 72,000K when it is available in India. Apple does ship the iPhones models in two weeks of the United States launch, and the new model is available in India within a month or so.
